Elizabeth Williams, LSW
Founder of Survivors To Alivers, Inc. and author of “You Survived…Now What?,” Elizabeth Williams is a living example of the lessons she teaches as a trainer, speaker, and author. Her work focuses on developing tools and support systems that foster restoration for those who have experienced trauma or hardship in their lifetime. She is the creative mind behind the development of the six stage Survivor To Aliver healing model. Elizabeth earned her Bachelor Degree in Social Work from The Ohio State University in 2001 and is a Licensed Social Worker (LSW). With over seven years experience working with survivors and a personal story of pain, hopelessness, and eventually healing, she combines her professional expertise with knowledge gained through first-hand experience to educate and empower her audiences. Her customized message of Survivor To Aliver is centered
around the Survivor to Aliver healing model, inspiring the audience while empowering them with tools they can implement in their personal lives to move beyond surviving to living again. Pronounced uh-liv-er, an Aliver is defined as someone who has survived trauma, decided that surviving is not enough, and chose to heal and live again.
Elizabeth’s work includes providing training for Victim Awareness Coordinators with The Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections, speaking at Victim Awareness classes across the state of Ohio, and providing proponent testimony and advocacy work for Ohio House Bill 333. She has also developed curriculum for the training of Licensed Social Workers to assist them in how to understand and work with survivors of sexual violence.
